Florence on a rainy week

Raining in Florence Italy

The rain has been nonstop for days here in Tuscany, even sparking some flooding scares in Cinque Terre (video) and Venice (pix). Luckily, I can work from home and cozy up in warm flannel gear to beat off the cold, bitter rain.

Here are some pictures I took of downtown Florence this week.

Stay dry.

This is how I remember Florence… It rained the entire 3 days we were there. Cold Rain combined with Christmas lights all over the city made the entire experience so romantic. My husband and I walked for hours through narrow streets under our umbrella admiring the city and talking about everything under the sun ( rather clouds) We planned to come back the next year but found out I was pregnant when we came back to the states. 🙂 … Hopefully will be able to recreate the experience when our little goober is a little older.

Wow, I guess all that rain helped your family grow. 😉 Yes, I find this weather just as romantic as sunny spring days. It is more relaxing and all I want to do is relax and drink good wine!
