Although Tuscany is not famous for their white, unsalty bread they are known to make mean panini in Florence. All’Antico Vinaio never fails to have a long line outside filled with locals, tourists and students alike, so I’m thinking it must be good.
This is one of the few panini spots that I have yet to try. I have a few gems up my sleeves that I want to share with you, but wanted to see if you’ve been to this number one rated panini/winery spot in Florence. For sure Dogali is on my list amongst a few other local favorites.

I would also propose “I Maledetti Toscani” | via Dei Cerchi & “I Due Fratellini” | via Dei Cimatori.
Thanks for the two additions! I’ve been to an awesome one by the Duomo (closer than due fratellini) but can’t remember the name, so have to make a trip back.

I simply love panini! The best one I have had so far was in London at one of Spanish restaurants. It was cheesy and well done :)! Never been to Florence, but If I ever make it there, I’m going straight to this place 🙂
Oh yes, you must try them here when you do visit. Not as cheesy, but get ready for the best salami you’ve ever had with great toppings like porcini mushrooms and spicy eggplant.
I just got back from Florence and ate there. It was really one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Make sure to get there at least once.

This place is FANTASTIC! The 5E sandwich tastes even better with a glass of 2E wine – which you pick/pour yourself. Another added bonus: SALT in their bread!!!
